DIY - Foaming Hand Soap

I've received many compliments on my Foaming Hand Soap, and it is actually very easy to make at home! You can recycle any foaming hand soap pump that you may have.

To make Two 8oz pumps you will need the following:

  1. 6 TBSP Castile Soap (I use Dr. Bronner's)
  2. 3 TBSP Avocado, Almond, or Olive Oil (I use Organic Almond)
  3. 2 TBSP Vegetable Glycerine
  4. 1 Tsp Calendula Oil
  5. 10 Drops Vitamin E Oil
  6. 2 Cups Distilled Water
  7. Essential Oils (I use Lavender)

Measure and Mix the First 5 Ingredients in a 4 cup pyrex mixing jar - then add enough distilled water to bring you to 2 1/3 cups in total.

Add Essential Oils to preference for scent.  Keep in mind some essential oils should not be used in soap. Also please keep in mind some oils are toxic for pets, and dangerous to small children.

This soap is incredibly cleansing and moisturizing! Enjoy!
