DIY Shampoo Bars for the WIN! My hair is so happy! Bounce, Shine, Manageability! One batch will last most of the year (as long as I don't give them all away!).  The recipe and instructions I used is linked HERE.  I did switch out 5oz of Coconut Oil with 5oz of Organic Babassu Oil, and I swapped out 2oz of Olive Oil with 2oz of Argan Oil.Â
At times I though that it was an epic fail - that I botched the recipe somehow - but I was pleasantly surprised that at the end it all came together. Â I will warn you that the ingredients may separate in the crock pot at about 30 minutes in to your hour of cooking at the end, so keep an eye on it. Â I used my stick blender and blended it all back together right in the crock pot, and all was well! I used Ylang Ylang Essential Oil in addition to the fragrance from the herbs.Â
After I use the shampoo bar, I finish with a diluted Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse.  This is about 1oz of Distilled Water, and 1oz of Apple Cider Vinegar in a small spray bottle.  I also had about 8 drops of Tea Tree oil and 5 drops Rosemary Oil to the rinse. Â
